Capitol Reef National Park

I planned another road trip.  My Dad liked the plan and here we go - getting out of the haze and headed for the sun.

Here's me and my Dad.  He just had back surgery, but he knows how much I love to explore and study maps and listen to music...your basic road tripping.  We stopped at every historical site, pull-out, trail heads, etc.

This is an old Fruita, Utah farmhouse we explored.

Hiking into the Grand Wash.
Love caves.

Funny!  From here we spent the night in Torrey, Utah at a nice hotel with a swimming pool and a hot tub.  We ate at a local pizza joint - of course I ordered the pepperoni pizza, my favorite.
Another beautiful sunny day.  Now we are headed out to see the Petroglyph Wall.

Looking through binoculars at the drawings of ancient aliens...

Cathedral Valley.  We missed the turn-off because there isn't a sign when you are headed east - and we turned around and went back 17 miles to make sure I saw the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Moon.  These were the 2 things I wanted to see the most that I drew on my map.  Thanks, Dad.

Here we have...The Temple of the Sun.
This is The Temple of the Moon.  Right now I'm planning the next trip.  I want to go to Alaska or go on another ghost tour of the Queen Mary.
Success!
